Pursue love
Don’t pursue simplicity, poverty or even generosity in the hopes that it’s the way to wholeness, holiness or satisfaction.
Pursue love.
If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. – 1 Cor. 13:3
Learn to love deeply — and all the rest will take care of itself.
And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. – Col. 3:12
