A tip of the hat
Several family members and friends are doing some very cool things as of late and I wanted to be sure I took the time to brag on them properly. They’re definitely not letting anything hold them back…
First up…
My sister Kara has been creating a number of hair clips, pins and accessories. She’s doing it all to raise money for Portions for Orphans – of which she’s been a staunch supporter of for several years.
Currently she’s mainly selling things via her Facebook page, so drop in and order a bunch.
Secondly…
My dear friend Keri Lehmann has launched her own business this year selling hand crafted body care products.
The products are made with authentic ingredients, without the use of added preservatives, fillers, fragrances, parabens, or ANYTHING that is unnatural.
She’s also reaching out and being a blessing to those around her by donating a portion of all the proceeds to Bridges Safehouse, a transitional housing organization for pregnant homeless women.
She’s gradually releasing new products and so far, they’ve been amazing — and I’m saying this as a guy who doesn’t use body care products. I’m always sneaking some of the Laurie’s moisturizer before I head to bed and the other night after a good soak in the tub and sneaking some of the Spearmint Eucalyptus Raw Sugar Scrub, our bathroom smelled like a spa for several days.
Finally…
My brother-in-law, Brad Turner is only a few weeks away from seeing his dream of opening his own gymnastics gym come to reality. Brad and his business partner are opening a brand new gym – Best Gymnastics – in Flower Mound Texas.
Brad’s been involved in gymnastics for 20+ years and has managed a number of gyms in the Dallas area, so we’re all thrilled to see him venture out and open a gym of his own. I have no doubt they’ll blow their competition out of the water.
Now if only they were opening the gym a bit closer to us so we could take advantage of their Best Night Out on a more regular basis once the boys are a bit older.
So there you go… a few folks who deserve a great Tip of the Hat.
