About

We Live Simply is about one goal:

“live simply so that others may simply live”
-Mahatma Gandhi

I’m not hoping to turn you into monks or make you join a commune somewhere but I believe that living a simple life will not only give you the time, energy and finances to do what you’re really passionate about — but also give you the opportunity to give more of yourself away to those around you.

I believe that by choosing to live a more simple life, we not only care for our planet, but also our neighbors around the world.

Each decision and each purchase we make can have a lasting impact on the world around us.

Whether it’s cutting back on consumption, buying FairTrade, or starting a garden, I hope that the ideas you find within this site help you to live simply — both as a benefit to you and your neighbors around the world.

In no way do I claim to be an expert in living simply. I’m just a pilgrim on this journey like everyone else.

And so while I plan to share my own tips and pointers along the way — I also want to share the stories of those who are on this journey with me — including your own stories.

So I invite you to join me in the adventure by participation in the comments section of each post, on Twitter (@welivesimply) or the We Live Simply Facebook page.

Feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions or submissions.

Thanks for reading!
